Universal Homes Northcote Redevelopment Superlots

The Northcote Redevelopment project in Auckland is a significant endeavour with the goal of breathing new life into the suburb and enhancing the well-being of its inhabitants. This initiative encompasses the construction of more than 300 modern residences, a fresh town centre, and upgraded transportation infrastructure. These homes will comprise a blend of social and affordable housing options, along with privately owned residences. The project also includes the creation of new parks and green spaces, as well as the restoration of the local waterway.

2KO Engineering got involved as the building services engineer for a couple of superlots that will be developed by Universal Homes. These developments comprise a diverse range of housing options, including standalone houses, terrace houses, and apartments. Our responsibilities were the design of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical infrastructure, lighting systems, security systems, communication systems, MATV (Master Antenna Television), as well as plumbing and drainage systems.
